IU School of Informatics at IUPUI Launches New Interactive Web Site

University Library Partners with Local Art Center to Host Artist's Book Exhibit

August 4, 2009 — Herron Art Library, part of IUPUI University Library, has partnered with the Harrison Center for the Arts to sponsor “Bookish,” an Indianapolis Downtown Artists & Dealers Association First Friday event. The exhibit's opening reception was held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at the Harrison Center for the Arts, 1501 N. Delaware St. The artwork will hang through Aug. 29, 2009. Both the reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.

Herron to launch Master in Art Therapy Program

June 9, 2009 — Herron School of Art and Design is excited to announce the launch of a new Master in Art Therapy degree program. Merging the fields of medicine, visual art, and psychology, art therapy uses creative processes of various art forms to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being of individuals of all ages.

Getting to the Art of the Matter: Herron Students "Screen" IU's Dental Patients

May 29, 2009 — Soon after renovations to the IU School of Dentistry’s Patient Admissions division were completed, the Clinical Affairs faculty and staff decided that the remodeled area could benefit from an additional element of privacy to further separate the bank of patient registration desks from the nearby reception seating. They went looking for a solution – and found it in the creative vision of two students from the Herron School of Art and Design.
