IUPUI admissions office, University College win MarCom awards

The IUPUI Office of Undergraduate Admissions and University College each won a pair of 2012 MarCom Awards in the international competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals.

The competition received more than 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries. MarCom entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers. The competition has grown to one of the largest of its kind in the world.

The admissions office won a platinum award for its Senior Prospect Stream, which was entered in the PR/Communication category. The office’s entry consisted of a representation of the stream with all emails and templates, as well as all postcards and letters with their text. A 12-page recruiting piece, entered in a brochure/recruitment category, won a gold award.

University College won a platinum award for its Externship Campaign 2012, entered in the marketing material category, and a gold award for its 2012 JAG Summer Classes Campaign, also in the marketing material category.

MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. About 18 percent of the entries won the platinum award, the competition's top honor.
