May 5, 2011, will be a celebratory "spectacle" at Herron School of Art and Design as the art school on the IUPUI campus kicks off the 2011 M.F.A. Exhibition and holds its year-end celebration, "Look See."

Herron’s School of Art and Design’s 2011 M.F.A. Exhibition requires the space of all five galleries in Eskenazi Hall to highlight the achievements of the school’s third graduating class of master of fine arts candidates.

Sixteen students from eight states and four countries are represented through their works in furniture design, printmaking, sculpture and visual communication design.

The graduates are: Stephanie Adams, Jason Bord, Carlos Cazare, Brandon Cockrum, Brian Crain, Anna-Maria D’Ambrosio, Ray Duffey, Rogelio Gutierrez, Nada Jaffal, Ava Larkin, Shi-Fen Liu, Yiwen Mu, Juhi Singh, Brandon Stuck, Terri Wada and Melanie Warner.

The show opens at 5 p.m. in the Berkshire, Reese, Paul, Marsh and Basie Galleries and runs through 8 p.m. on May 5, 2011,  continuing through May 26.

Herron’s year-end celebration, Look See, begins with the annual Honors and Awards ceremony in the IUPUI Campus Center at 5 p.m. on May 5. This year more than $170,000 in scholarships and awards will be announced, along with special faculty awards.

The year-end festivities continue in Eskenazi Hall. Along with the M.F.A. Exhibition, there will be shows of senior works from the visual communication design and photography programs, a print and ceramics sale, open studios, music and refreshments.
