World Usability Day was founded in 2005 by the worldwide Usability Professionals' Association in recognition that much of today’s technology is often prohibitively complex for the average user. Each year, on the second Thursday of November, more than 200 events in 43 countries are organized to raise awareness of usability among the general public, and to train professionals in the tools and issues central to good usability research, development and practice.
