IUPUI Collaborates with the Riverside Neighborhood for Sustainable Solutions, Jobs

April 5, 2012 — The Purdue School of Engineering & Technology at IUPUI has been awarded a grant to launch a project aimed at revitalizing Riverside, a neighborhood on the west side of Indianapolis, just north of IUPUI’s campus. The School of Engineering & Technology and the Riverside Civic League are joining forces for the Riverside Watershed Environmental Living Lab for Sustainability (RWELLS) initiative, developed to improve quality of life by creating jobs through entrepreneurship in the area of sustainability.

IUPUI's Lugar Center GM Awarded Bosch Fellowship to Study Energy, Technology, Trade & Development in Germany

Kyle ClineMarch 2, 2012 — Kyle Cline, General Manager for the Richard G. Lugar Center for Renewable Energy at IUPUI, has been awarded the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship for 2012-2013. Cline’s year as a Fellow in Germany will be closely related to his previous professional experiences and current work at IUPUI’s Lugar Center in renewable energy, innovation and technology transfer, trade and economic development.

Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI Receives $100,000 for Student Innovation

February 8, 2012 — The Purdue School of Engineering & Technology at IUPUI announced today a $100,000 gift designed to fuel student innovation. The gift, made by Tom and Peggy Ward of OmniSite, will create a Student Innovation Fund to help enterprising students actualize creative project ideas.
