IUPUI Expert to Blog for JAMA on Politics of Health Care

Carroll, M.D.,M.S., a nationally respected health policy expert and health services researcher, will provide insight about the political aspects of health care this election year via a new Journal of the American Medical Association blog. University Students, Homeland Security Experts, Church and Business Security Officials to Gather at IUPUI for Second Biennial Counterterrorism Simulation

October 19, 2011 — Students from Indiana University will find out what it is like to be in the vortex of confusion surrounding a large-scale urban crisis when the university holds its second biennial Counterterrorism Simulation on Oct. 28, 2011. The simulation will begin at 8 a.m. at the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis building, Inlow Hall, located at 530 W. New York St. on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus.

CHE Endorses Request to Create Public Health Schools at IUPUI, IU Bloomington

IU President Michael A. McRobbieOctober 14, 2011 — Indiana University's request to establish the state of Indiana's first schools of public health, one at IU Bloomington and the other at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, was approved today (Oct. 14) by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.

Kelley Professor to Examine How Women Respond to Information About the HPV Vaccine

Carbon Nanoparticles Break Barriers--and That May Not Be Good

Carbon nantotubesSeptember 15, 2011 — A study by researchers from the schools of science and medicine at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis examines the effects of carbon nanoparticles (CNPs) on living cells. This work is among the first to study concentrations of these tiny particles that are low enough to mimic the actual exposure of an ordinary individual.
