IUPUI Fall Career Week lets student explore careers, learn tips to land a job

October 4, 2012 — Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis students will have the chance to explore majors and careers during Fall Career Week, Oct. 8 to 11. More than 40 events are planned, including sessions that link majors to careers and sessions that offer help with job interviews, resumes and internships.

Gene Tempel nominated as founding dean for new School of Philanthropy

September 28, 2012 — Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Chancellor and Executive Vice President Charles R. Bantz have announced the appointment of Gene Tempel to be the founding dean of IU's new School of Philanthropy, subject to the approval of the IU Board of Trustees at its next business meeting Oct. 12.

Enrollment data confirms numerous academic firsts for incoming IUPUI freshman class

September 7, 2012 — A new class of freshmen began the 2012-13 academic school year at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis on Aug. 20. Enrollment data confirms this class is the largest incoming full-time class; and has the highest average grade-point average, highest average SAT, highest percentage of Indiana students completing the state’s Core 40 with Academic Honors Diploma, highest number of 21st Century Scholars and most diversity in the campus’s history.

Public comment sought as part of IUPUI accreditation process

September 6, 2012 — Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, including its Columbus regional education center, invites the public to submit comments about the institutions in preparation for its periodic evaluation by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools -- an independent corporation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and one of six regional institutional accreditors in the United States.
