Webster selected as IUPUI's community partnerships manager

LaTika WebsterJanuary 3, 2013 — LaTika R. Webster has been selected as community partnerships manager at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, announced Amy Conrad Warner, IUPUI vice chancellor for external affairs. Webster will assume her new duties in February.

Greening IUPUI grants available to fund ideas to reduce campus's impact on environment

Going greenDecember 17, 2012 — A total of $50,000 in grants will be awarded to IUPUI students, staff and faculty whose proposals to reduce the campus’s environmental impact are selected for 2013 Greening IUPUI grants. The deadline for submitting a pre-application is Jan. 28.

Campus visionary is the force behind naming of IUPUI academic building

Dr. Maynard K. HineDecember 13, 2012 — INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana University Board of Trustees has approved the request to name the conference center portion of the former University Place Conference Center and Hotel after Dr. Maynard K. Hine, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis’ first chancellor and a true campus visionary. The academic building will be named Hine Hall.

Study maps Central Indiana students' transitions to college

November 27, 2012 — The greatest disparities in college access, attendance and success are high school diploma types and socioeconomic status, according to "Mapping Transitions to College," a study of 25,880 Central Indiana high school students just released by the Talent Alliance-a group of nearly 70 public and private organizations united with a common mission to elevate Central Indiana’s system of education to world-class status and ensure every individual has the opportunity to succeed from cradle to career.
