Liberal Arts Appoints House-Soremekun as Director of Entrepreneurship Research Center

Chancellor Charles R. BantzJune 6, 2011 — During a ceremony this past Friday, I was in Vancouver to accept the 2011 Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization on IUPUI’s behalf. At the event I was joined by IUPUI colleagues who were attending the annual conference of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, which sponsors the award. IUPUI was recognized for its comprehensive approach to internationalize the campus.

Scholarship Support Helps IU School of Nursing Kenyan Doctoral Student, Naomi Mutea, Reach Her Full Potential

Naomi MuteaJune 2, 2011 — Naomi Mutea, MSN, student in IU School of Nursing’s inaugural Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) cohort and faculty member at Moi University School of Medicine, Department of Nursing, Kenya, has been awarded the P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship. The scholarship provides tuition, fees, books and living expenses, enabling Mutea to continue her DNP studies in Indiana.

France's Ministry of National Education named Dr. Vermette a Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques (Knight of the Order of Academic Palms) during a ceremony on April 21, 2011 at IUPUI.
