May 18, 2012 — For the Bachelor of Social Work students from the IU School of Social Work, the Introduction to Case Management class provided much more than three academic credits. It allowed them to see the look on a client’s face when a problem they had faced had been resolved.

Viehweg named interim director of IUPUI Center for Translating Research Into Practice

Stephan ViehwegMay 7, 2012 — Stephan Viehweg has been named interim director of the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Center for Translating Research Into Practice (TRIP). As interim director, he will lead the effort to identify and celebrate translational research on the IUPUI campus. His appointment is effective July 1, 2012.

From its very beginning in 1911, Indiana University’s academic program in social work has been one of the most visible manifestations of a public university's mission of service to our city, state, nation, and world.
