Herron Art Library, Harrison Center for the Arts Present Artists' Book Exhibition

IUPUI Grad Creates Large-Scale Art to Enhance Hospital's Environment for Healing

Installation of Close-UpJune 18, 2010 — Community Hospital North has just acquired its newest large-scale work of art. The outdoor installation, Close-up by recent IUPUI graduate Jodie Hardy, is a 15’ x 30’ sculpture made of 16 hand-painted, wood panels suspended from a steel frame. Depending on the direction from which it’s viewed, Close-up shows a colorfully rendered human hair or nerve vessel, magnified thousands of times.
