The second workshop in the IUPUI Events Going Green educational series, Green Cuisine, will be held Nov. 28.

Ivy Tech Chef Thom England will discuss sustainable foods. The program, which will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Room 405 at the IUPUI Campus Center, includes a food tasting and a light lunch. The maximum number that can be accommodates is 50 attendees.

England will identify source foods that are ethical, local, and seasonal; show how to coordinate sustainable menus with caterers and chefs; communicate the value of sustainable food presentation; and minimize food and drink packaging waste.

There is no charge for this event, but those attending are asked to register by sending an email to Susie Benko at sbenko@iupui.edu. The registration email should provide the name of those attending, job title or student, and the name of the department or business unit represented.
