Student Dies at IUPUI

IU Police officers responding to a call early on the morning of Friday, January 20, 2012, found Corey Euliss, an IUPUI student, unresponsive in his vehicle in an IUPUI parking lot. Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services also responded to the scene and determined he had died.

The IUPUI community is saddened by his death.

IU Police said there was no indication of foul play. An autopsy was performed and there were no signs of trauma, and the cause of death is pending toxicology results. At this time this incident is being treated as a death investigation.

According to an obituary that ran in The Indianapolis Star, Euliss, 24, of Speedway, was a psychology student. He also worked at Roadway Express and Iron Skillet Restaurant. He loved football and was looking forward to the Super Bowl. His two favorite sports teams were the Colts and Miami Heat. He is survived by his parents, John and Patricia Euliss, and brother, Jordan Schlake.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 24 at Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway, with calling there from 3:00 - 8:00 PM, Monday, January 23. The burial will be at Westridge Park Cemetery.
