IUPUI University College has won four MarCom 2011 Awards.
University College received the awards for New Student Welcome, Platinum; Honors Recognition Ceremony, Gold; The Link Magazine (e-zine), Gold; and Fall Career Week, Honorable Mention.
MarCom is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by Marketing and Communication Professionals. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, and design and production companies.
The competition has grown to perhaps the largest of its kind in the world. The winners show a range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies. The competition is so well respected in the industry that national public relations organizations, local ad agencies, and local business communicator chapters are entrants.

MarCom Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The association oversees awards and recognition program, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.
There were over 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries. The awards go beyond what the final products and represent all the components that go into each piece that was create as the outcome. Professionals in marketing and communications respect the strategies, efforts, skills, and tools necessary in creating their products.
The MarCom’s prestigious Platinum Award is presented to those entries judges to be among the most outstanding entries in the competition. Platinum winners are recognized for their excellence in terms of quality, creativity, concepts, and resourcefulness.
The Gold Award is presented to those entries judge to exceed the high standards of the industry norm with quality, creativity, concepts, designs, and resourcefulness.
