The IUPUI Athletics Department will be introducing Todd Howard and Austin Parkinson as its new head basketball coaches at an event inside the Campus Center (SW corner of University and New York) at 3 p.m. today (Monday, April 25, 2011). The event is free and open to the public.
Those unable to attend in person will be able to watch live as its will be streamed via the web on IUPUIJags.com. The event will include comments from Director of Athletics Mike Moore, along with introductions of Howard and Parkinson.
Howard spent the past 16 years as an aide under long-time Head Coach Ron Hunter, while Parkinson will also formally take the reins of the women's team on Monday. Parkinson coached the Jaguars this past season and was recently hired after a national search was conducted after the season.
