Dear Colleagues: At the Indiana University Board of Trustees meeting today, the Trustees approved the tuition rates and budgets for the coming biennium. The new rates can be found on Friday, July 17, 2009, at www.osas.iupui.edu.
The budget plan for the 2009-10 academic year contains spending restrictions including the budget line for each newly vacated biweekly and professional position will be cut by 50% and each unit’s FY10 general fund travel budget will be cut by 50%. Additional specific information will be forthcoming in the near future. Information on budgets will be sent to schools and units shortly.
Also announced at the meeting were the appointments of Tom Morrison in the newly created position of vice president for capital projects and facilities and Bobby Schnabel as the interim vice president for research.
The new tuition rates and fees will be posted on the Office of Student Account Services’ website www.osas.iupui.edu on Friday along with a fee estimator. Individual Fall 2009 tuition/fees will be ready to view online July 27th via OneStart; the Fall bill will be available to view online on August 6th using the “view/pay bursar bill” on OneStart. Students with questions should contact the Office of Student Account Services, osas@iupui.edu or (317) 274-2451.
I realize this will likely raise further questions. I will provide more information as it becomes available.
