The IUPUI Police welcomed Gregory Moore, Jeffrey Riley, Patrick Jobe, and Cecil Perkins who were sworn in March 23,2009.

Gregory Moore, Jeffrey Riley and Patrick Jobe brings more than 15 years of law enforcement and security experience. Cecil Perkins is coming from the business sector and is starting his law enforcement career.

Officers Moore and Riley who are already certified police officers will assume assigned shifts after completing orientation and field training. Officers Jobe and Perkins will attend the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in May before starting field training.

This is an expansion of the police department which has been a long term goal of Chief Norris and Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration Dawn Rhodes. This brings the current number of police officers to 36 and will strengthen the department in its work of making IUPUI a safer place.
