IUPUI is Indiana's premier urban research university. The campus enrolls more than 30,000 students in 21 schools and academic units.
If you are looking for a safe, responsible means to dispose of toxic and electronic waste, two upcoming events may meet your needs.
• If you are a member of the IUPUI community and looking to dispose of personal and household toxic waste, including some electronic waste, Tox Away Day on April 17, may be your opportunity. Visit the Tox Away Day [http://www.cfs.iupui.edu/recycle/toxaway.php] site for more information.
• If you are a member of the general community, including businesses, nonprofits, educational institutions and individuals, looking to dispose of electronic waste, the IU and IUPUI Electronic Waste Collection Days on April 30 through May 2 may be for you. The IUPUI community may also use these days to dispose of personal electronics. Visit www.indiana.poweron.com for more information.
If you are an IUPUI staff or faculty member looking to dispose of electronic waste that is property of the university, please complete the IUPUI Surplus form and fax it to 274-7488 and arrangements will be made for pick up. The IUPUI Surplus office can be reached by calling 274-7753 or visiting www.purchasing.iupui.edu/suplus. Property of the university should not be taken to either of the above drop off events.
