The IUPUI Police reminds spring break travelers of security precautions to ensure a safe and exciting spring break experience.
Effective security precautions require a continuous and conscious awareness of one’s environment as well as the need to exercise prudence, judgment, and common sense, said IUPUI Police Captain Bill Abston.
This is especially true where the traveler must adapt to new cultures, customs and laws.
The IUPUI Police Department has published Personal Security Guidelines for Overseas Travel which can be found on the IUPUI Police website along with other travel tips at www.police.iupui.edu. Copies of the overseas travel booklet are also available at the police department located in Ball Annex, 1232 W. Michigan or at the information desk, card services and bookstore inside the Campus Center, 420 University Blvd.
