The Herron School of Art and Design photography seniors are exhibiting their first works of the spring semester in Hypertrophy.
he exhibition takes place in the Herron Photography Gallery in Herron School of Art and Design on Friday March 6th, 2009. The show, including an opening reception, will be from 6pm-9pm and is free to the public. The Herron School of Art and Design is located in Downtown Indianapolis, on the IUPUI campus, at 735 West New York Street. The Herron Photography Gallery is in the Lower Lever of the Herron School of Art and Design.
The twenty-three individual works on display range in content dealing with personal experiences, socio-political commentary, and humor to the exploration of cultural diversities and gender roles. There will be a mixture of still flat work, to video pieces, and installation. Herron's senior photographers have received awards and scholarships from past shows and works to support and help them pursue future endeavors. They are excited to share their work and discuss it with you at this exhibition.
